A woman who is “libertarian” and promotes microschools, doing interviews with many new start-ups around the U. S., is all for A I. (She is also in favor of government funding of alternative education, which to me, is inconsistent with libertarian thinking and is asking for trouble as far as government interference.)

I was talking with a man a couple months ago who is working on helping people with interpersonal communication skills. He is a really nice, decent, God-fearing man with a nice family (4 biological children and 2 adopted sons). As he explained more about what he was working on, he told me he is using A I for what he is developing. Someone can enter what they want to tell someone and the A I will tell them a better way to say it. He tried it with something he wanted to say to his son and what he actually said, coached by A I, brought tears to his son’s eyes. His son told him, Dad, it’s working. The A I-assisted wording really touched his son, who knew what his dad is doing.

I keep thinking about that and I am very troubled by it. If someone said something to me and I found out it wasn’t their own idea, but they had been coached by a computer, I would be insulted. I would rather a person say something less touching that was from their heart than to have a computer/A I-generated message.

The world is spiraling. I think I can hear the suction as it is going down the drain.
