"Security is Hard. Really Hard."

Especially when you're up against the likes of the NSA.

I actually don't think its possible. For every move you make as an individual, there will be teams of hundreds countering it.

The only way to take on Big Brother is to arrange to have him fired. And the only way to do that is to find ways around the captured media narrative, until enough people can see through it.

I also think it's important for more people to improve their situation in ways that make surveillance and control more expensive. Using up more of big brother's budget is almost as good as cutting it directly. I personally believe that's why there are so many within the "freedom movement" who discourage the use of more private options, because it would be very difficult for big brother if a slim majority started taking privacy seriously.

I was really interested in FortKnoxster's messaging app for this reason. It seemed more secure than competitors like Facebook. However, the FortKnoxster app got discontinued when it was bought out by SYS Labs. Supposedly the FortKnoxster app will be resurrected as SuperDapp soon. We will see.
