I have very much enjoyed joyed both of those conversations and am so over the moon with how well your health journey is going! Keep on pushing, friend! Your dedication is inspiring! ❤️
Another excellent month, Gabe! Thanks for participating in the round table discussion, and congratulations on your progress on the personal side. You continue to be a huge inspiration to me!
Wow Man, Just reactivated my blog, writing from here again, saw your correspondence, was rockin'. Clicked and you're on Geopolitics and Empire........fantastic, will get a look at it tomorrow, bombastic. Been through the ringer with bubstack, you'll see as my posts come out on Phoenix Eagle Condor, just how they make us weaker. For now - bed, bath and beyond, will hook tomorrow with you and Geo found. Go well, homeward bound - Phoeagdor, be seein' ya, all around.
I liked that interview you did with Mathew, and I would disagree with your mom. You were very clear, never used filler like "um" and "you know", and raised some good points.
I didn't know you were working on an RSS reader. Have you written about this before?
It's a side-project to re-familiarize myself with rust and finally learn a GUI framework.
(I don't have the best programming skills)
Haven't updated the repo, but I recently got the results to load in a local database, and I want to write the logic to display the posts in the editor before I push another update.
GUI programming scares me, so I'm impressed that you're going down that path. I will probably stick with using FreshRSS on my own web server, because then I can use it from any machine.
I know the world is crazy about Rust, but I've been using C since 1983 and C++ since 1990, and couldn't see the point in learning yet another C++ spinoff (Java, Javascript, Go, D, and now Rust) So I veered off into the Ruby world a while back, and now use Crystal for Ruby-like code that has to be small and fast.
This made me so happy, Gabe, from your intellectual prowness to your physical progress. I would point out to your mom that you asked some important questions in that G&E roundtable that were not, to my mind, adequately answered. And it seemed particularly courageous to hold on to your reservations with the wealth of knowledge and detail from the other side.
After my remaining holiday daughter leaves today, Bitcoin vs. the Caret is the first on my list to publish. I've been telling my daughters how much I value your insight and perception. The ability to think clearly is a science, not an art, even though it seems to be intuitive rather than learned. I think there's a relationship between your technical capabilities and your ability to get to the heart of the matter. Looking forward to continuing the conversation.
Oddly enough I did get a call from my mother who wasn't entirely pleased with me including that. 😅 She felt I was leaving out that she is still pleased with my participation, even if she wants to believe that Mathew is correct about Bitcoin.
I am eagerly waiting in suspense for your Bitcoin vs the Caret!
Glad you posted this Gabriel. I had somehow missed your appearance on Geopolitics & Empire. I'll have to watch it asap! Keep up the great work.

Lots of interesting topics... I'll be listening to a couple presentations momentarily.
Congrats on the fitness effort; keep at it, Gabe!
