I listened to Liam's songs while reading this and I'm blown away! His lyrics, the music, I had no idea this talent and art was lurking behind his technical expertise--and I guess now has come out in front. I can see why this would become an anthem for you, Gabe, there's so much heart in it.
And you are, of course, celebrating my friends with Margaret, Tonika and Mary. My heart has been dwelling with Margaret and her loss. I've watched some clips from her post and think of her and Michael often. And the Mary/ Tonika collab is awesome, really magnificent.
Gary is certainly on to something, and his categorization into R & L hemispheres seems apt. I've thought of those as the masculine and feminine too. The masculine corporate world is all about humiliation. It's not just being unemployed or underemployed, it's the shame and knowing that who you are and your status could be gone with a snap of the fingers, always being on edge. I've been thinking that we're a profoundly unmothered society because the baseline of security and nurturing is completely lacking, by design.
I was with my youngest daughter this weekend and telling her how astute and humble you are, Gabe. (Did I already tell you this?) In any case, I think you would like each other. She's also very insightful.
Oh wow, Gabe! Thank you so much for shouting out Foreverland and for your kind words. I'm stoked The Things We Take With Us is as meaningful for you as it is for me, and more importantly, that you've gleaned its meaning as applied to your own life. That's the biggest compliment an artist can receive. :)
In a weird synchronisation, the day that Gabe shared this post, I had finished a rendering of the exact same song. Strange how that one hit both of us in the feels. Great track!
I finally got around to reading this and now filled up my cue with a bunch more to follow the links on! 😆 because you’ve got a great eye for what’s worth paying attention to and so here we are. :)
I’m honoured to be included in this round up. The project with Mary was such pure joy. And of course, it was an extraordinary privilege to participate in the Autonomy in the Arts series with fellow artists Liam and Margaret.
Sheesh, I have to catch up on Gary articles. People ask me if I have social media, I’m like, what is social media? Substack is the lifestyle now. 🤷♀️
Gabriel, I love that you devoted an entire post to lifting up the work of others, and I'm honored (or honoured, actually :-) to be included. Thank you. Can't wait to dive into the offerings to unearth new gems.
And oh, how I echo your sentiments about extending any and all kindness to Margaret Anna Alice. May she feel the love and support of us all ❤️.

Thank you so much, Tereza! :)
Gosh, you share your kind words so generously, T! 🙏
What's that movie quote, "It's nice to be nice to the nice"? But as you'll see with my latest, I'm not always so nice ;-)
👀 gonna go peep!
Thank you so much, Gabriel! It makes my day to be included in this post!
Thrilled to have made your day!
Wishing you the best 😊
Thank you, Gabriel! Same here!!!
A great compendium of recent posts, and thanks for including me!
